The Secular Franciscan Order is an international organization which is grouped into fraternities at multiple levels.  Despite the name, these fraternities include both men and women.  From the top down:

The international fraternity has offices in

The US  national fraternity has 19,000 members in 772 local fraternities.  Click here for more information.

We are within the Blessed Junipera Serrra regional fraternity, which spans North & Central California and most of Nevada

Our own St. Francis local fraternity is centered in
San Francisco, California

Fraternities do not have strict geographic boundaries.  Our fraternity includes members who live around the bay and even around the state. 

Our brother/sister local fraternities in the bay area may include members from San Francisco as well as from their own areas.  Some of them are:
